‘American Horror Story’ Season 4 Spoilers: Jessica Lange Photographed In Character With New ‘Freak Show’ Cast Member

Filming for “American Horror Story: Freak Show” is currently underway. Co-creator Ryan Murphy took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a photo from the Season 4 set and introduce the newest cast member -- Jyoti Amge!

For those unfamiliar with Jyoti Amge, she holds the title for the world’s smallest living woman. The 20-year-old India native is 62.8 cm or 2 feet, 0.6 inches tall, and received the title from the Guinness Book of Records on Dec. 16, 2011, her 18th birthday.

Murphy tweeted a photo of Amge with “American Horror Story” alum Jessica Lange. The actress can be seen rocking soft auburn curls and natural makeup with a velvet robe lined with feathers. Amge, who is smiling in Lange’s arms, is wearing a traditional Indian Sari. The pair can be seen in front of a red and white lined stage, reminiscent of a circus or carnival tent.

Amge’s character name has not been revealed, but fans are assuming that the 20-year-old will be taking her world’s smallest woman title to the fictional “Freak Show” universe set in Jupiter, Florida, in the 1950s. Lange on the other hand will be playing Elsa Mars, a German ex-pat running one of the last freak shows in existence.

Jyoti Amge won’t be the only new face in Season 4 of “American Horror Story.” The FX mini-series recently announced that music legend and Grammy winner Patti LaBelle joined the cast as the mother of Gabourey Sidibe’s character. Rumors circulating tease that LaBelle will not be using her powerful vocal chords to belt out any tunes, but instead will guest in four episodes as a “local townsperson who begins to unravel the murderous secrets of Twisty the clown killer.”

In addition to Amge and LaBelle, fans can also look forward to seeing “The Normal Heart” star Finn Wittrock, “Hunger Games” actor Wes Bentley, John Carroll Lynch of “The Americans” and Michael Chiklis of “The Shield.” Besides Lange and Sidibe, returning “American Horror Story” stars include Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Denis O’Hare, Emma Roberts and Frances Conroy.
