Is it October yet? “American Horror Story” fans are counting down the days, minutes and seconds until they can meet the spooky characters starring in Season 5 of the chilling FX series, titled “Hotel.” But it looks like anxious audience members won’t have to wait any longer to see what the cast member of “AHS” will look like in the impending installment of the nail-biting drama.

FX has released 10 images from the upcoming season, which is set to premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 7 – each image featuring a different character that will each be checking in to the dismal Hotel. From Evan Peters’ nearly unrecognizable portrayal of James March, to Lady Gaga’s fabulous character, the Countess, fans can get a glimpse of how the bright, shinning stars transformed into the seriously dark Season 5 roles:

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lady Gaga, who is a fan of the series, divulged that is was the darkness of “AHS” that sparked her interest in auditioning for the drama. However, the mother of monsters didn’t exactly have a grueling try out. According to the “Bad Romance” singer, Ryan Murphy, co-creator behind the terrifying series, was on board to cast Lady Gaga as soon as she pitched the idea to him.

“I called him and I said, ‘Ryan, I wanna be on ‘Horror Story.’ And he goes, ‘Okay.’ And that was it,” she said.

Lady Gaga added that she’s been quite emotional while filing “Hotel,” soaking in all the gloom lurking on the set.

“I’ve just been weeping while I’m here because I have returned to something I’ve believed in so much, which is the art of darkness,” the singer said. “It’s not something that everyone understands, but, for the people that do — ‘Horror Story’ fans, my fans — there is a true connection between us, and it’s a language within itself.”

During the 2015 TCA summer press tour, Murphy divulged just how terrifying Season 5 of “AHS” would be. "This season harkens back to the first season and is much more rooted in the honest, primal fears that the first season was," the showrunner said, comparing “Hotel” to “Murder House,” adding that the horror is “sneaking out of the hotel.”
