‘America’s Got Talent’
Will Simon Cowell give 5 Alive a yes in “America’s Got Talent” Season 12? NBC

“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 will air a new episode on Tuesday night and will introduce an all-male singing group called 5 Alive.

The five-member group made up of young men aged 18 and 20, will perform their own rendition of “Poison” and “Pony.” Prior to their performance, judge Simon Cowell asks them what their goal is for joining the hit NBC reality TV competition. The lead vocalist says that with everything bad that’s been happening in the world, they believe that people need another boy band.

Judge Heidi Klum agrees with them and says that she hopes they will be good. When they finally started their performance, fellow judge Mel B couldn’t not help but compare them to the ‘90s group, Backstreet Boys. The Spice Girls member dances along with the boy band while sitting on her chair. Unfortunately, Cowell has a smug look on his face that suggests he isn’t impressed by the routine.

On Tuesday night, viewers will find out if 5 Alive will make it to the next round of competition. But by the looks of it, they will. After all, they only need three yeses from the four judges. It is unclear if Cowell will give them a yes, but the judge has exercised kindness and compassion throughout the entire season. Two weeks ago, Mel B and Mandel did not want to send one contestant to the next round, but he begged them to change their minds.

Meanwhile, the final golden buzzer for the season is still up for grabs since Klum hasn’t given her to any contestant. There are rumors that Klum might have given her golden buzzer to deceased contestant Brandon Rogers. The singing doctor rose to fame after producers of “America’s Got Talent” saw his videos on Instagram. Rogers passed away last month following a fatal car crash. According to Billboard, his audition was supposed to air this week, but the producers are still contemplating on whether or not they will still release it. Rogers’ family wants his audition to be shown on television.

“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
