Amy Adams has revealed what fans can look forward to in the upcoming sequel of "Enchanted."

Adams, 47, teased new details about "Disenchanted," the sequel to 2007's "Enchanted," when she appeared on "The Tonight Show" Friday. She shared that the second installment will feature "a lot more singing and a lot more dancing," which she described as "humbling."

"The last time I really danced as much as I'm required to dance in this, I was in my 20s and now I'm not in my 20s," Adams said. "It feels different in your 40s. In my heart, I look like I'm in my 20s when I'm dancing, and then I would watch playback and be like, 'Whoa, that's not the same.'"

She also confirmed that "everyone is back" for the sequel. Maya Rudolph will be joining the cast as the new villain.

"She plays the baddie, so we get to have a lot of fun together," Adams said of Rudolph.

"Disenchanted" takes place 10 years after "Enchanted," which found fairytale princess Giselle (Adams) banished from her kingdom of Andalasia to Manhattan.

The upcoming movie will feature Giselle's life with her divorce lawyer husband Robert (Patrick Dempsey) and daughter Morgan (Gabby Baldacchino), who is now a teenager. Giselle and her family will be moving to the suburb of Monroeville where she has to face the new challenges of a new home and rediscover the true meaning of happily ever after.

Disney announced the second movie in December 2020 on Twitter. It also confirmed Adams' return as princess Giselle.

"'Disenchanted,' a sequel to the hit film 'Enchanted,' will stream exclusively on @DisneyPlus. Amy Adams returns for more fantastical fun as Giselle!" Disney tweeted with a crown emoji.

In 2018, Adam Shankman, who will direct the sequel, said the script was nearly complete.

"The fundamental story has changed a little bit, but not from the base story of it," he said at a Television Critics Association panel, as per Entertainment Weekly. "It's about Giselle 10 years later going, 'What is happily ever after?'"

At the time, he confirmed that it would feature the same amount of animation. However, it will have more songs.

Meanwhile, the "Grey's Anatomy" star previously teased that he will sing on camera for the first time in the sequel and asked fans to "bear with" him.

"I've never ever sung publicly — for a reason. So bear with me. I hope the fans embrace it," Dempsey told Variety in April. "But they've set me up for success and the lyrics are really fun. The numbers have really great choreography."
