Amy Schumer Has Bruises Running Down Her Back, Reveals It Was From A Comedy Skit

Amy Schumer has purple and red bruises on her back after doing a comedy skit for "Saturday Night Live” (SNL).

The 34-year-old comedienne shared an Instagram picture of the huge bruises she received from filming one of her skits for “SNL” held in October, People magazine reported. In the picture, Schumer had her back to the mirror as she shot a selfie showing the bruises that ran from her left shoulder down to nearly her lower back.

She captioned the image, “This is what happens when you repeatedly run into a fake airplane door on @nbcsnl with @vanessabayer.”

The “Trainwreck” actress was referring to an “SNL” skit title “Delta Flight,” which had her and SNL cast member Vanessa Bayer playing flight attendants. In the comedy skit, Schumer and Bayer struggled to stay inside the airplane when the cabin doors suddenly opened. Both were thrown outside the plane as the fought their way back in.

Hosting the “SNL” was just one of Schumer’s many accomplishments this year, according to Entertainment Weekly. Schumer won her first Emmy Award earlier this year for her show “Inside Amy Schumer,” she also opened for Madonna for the music legend’s Madison Square Garden show. And apart from movie projects such as “Trainwreck,” the star also became friends with Jennifer Lawrence.

The two actress have even worked on writing a screenplay together, in which Schumer described the “Hunger Games” actress as “really cool” and a “great writer.” She also revealed how Lawrence “doesn’t play by the rules” when she’s writing scenes.

“She can be out there in a really cool way where you thought that you understood a scene and then she'll just kind of turn it,” Schumer explained.

Lawrence and Schumer also spent the Thanksgiving holiday together, along with comedian Aziz Ansari and other friends, Teen Vogue reported. They enjoyed the holiday on the beach, where one of Schumer’s hometown friends also received a romantic wedding proposal.

Schumer even shared a selfie with her newly engaged friend on Instagram. She captioned the picture, “So happy for her.”
