The world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem has been home to many great acts over the years. From musical acts like James Brown and Ray Charles to comedy performers like Richard Pryor and Chris Rock. Amy Schumer can now add her name to that list in light of her upcoming HBO special.

Amy Schumer will finally perform on HBO this fall in a one-hour special entitled “Amy Schumer Live at The Apollo,” directed by Rock and filmed during her live standup at the Apollo on May 29.

The special looks like it will be loaded with the kind of jokes everyone has come to expect from Schumer. “I was having a little wine, weed and Ambien, or as I call it 'tucking myself in,' ” she says in the teaser, which is also filled with comments on her sex life, well-being, and love of money. The teaser can be seen below.

Schumer is fresh off her first leading role in a film in Judd Apatow’s “Trainwreck,” which came out on July 17. The film, which has grossed more than 91 million, was written by Schumer. The comedian is well-known for her standup and her Comedy Central show, “Inside Amy Schumer,” which she also writes and produces. The series received prime-time Emmy nominations for Outstanding Writing For A Variety Series and Outstanding Directing For A Variety Series. Schumer received a nomination as well for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

"Amy Schumer Live At The Apollo" will air Oct. 17 at 10 p.m. EDT on HBO.
