Although Google's latest mobile operating system Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich reached merely 1 percent of the total Android population at the beginning of this year, the update seems to be getting some momentum now with official ROMs arriving one after the other.

South Korean tech giant Samsung recently announced that Android 4.0 updates for the Galaxy Note, Galaxy S2 LTE, Galaxy R, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, 7.7, 8.9, 8.9 LTE and 10.1 would be coming soon. While owners of devices such as the Galaxy Nexus S 4G, Galaxy Note and owners of Galaxy S2 residing in its home country and some select countries throughout Europe have already tasted Android's latest dessert, some other Samsung mobile devices are left with the older versions of the OS.

Redmond Pie reported Wednesday that those running the UK and Australia region devices of Samsung's flagship Galaxy S II device can now flash / install the updated and official Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.3) ROM.

The report also provided a step-by-step guide to install Ice Cream Sandwich on Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100. Below are the steps to follow.

Users must note that using the method to update devices is their own decision. IBTimes will not be held responsible for any consequence.
