The U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 has now updated to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Google

The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean rollout continues with the U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 having received its update after a last-minute schedule leak. Samsung published the Android 4.3 changelog for the U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 on Friday, and the update is expected to roll out in phases.

Days before, a leaked document surfaced confirming that the U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 had been approved for update. Until then, there was little information about the U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 model; the carrier was notably missing from the other recently leaked Android 4.3 rollout timetable, which detailed update information for Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile. The Verizon and Sprint Galaxy S4 models have already received their Android 4.3 updates, which were accurately predicted by the leaked document. The AT&T and T-Mobile Galaxy S4 models still await updates, with the AT&T Galaxy S4 expected to update on Wednesday, and the T-Mobile Galaxy S4 on Nov. 18.

The South Korean manufacturer has said the U.S. models of the Galaxy S4 (and others) will receive a Premium Suite software update, which includes Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, Galaxy Gear support and Samsung KNOX security, among many other features. According to the Android 4.3 changelog for the U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4, the update also brings improvements to City ID, Mobile TV, MobiTiles, Slacker Radio, TRD, WiFi Now, YND, Mobile Security, and Amazon Shopping.

The R970VXUAMJA build firmware is currently available over the air, and as said will roll out onto U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 handsets in phases. Those who have not received the update should get it in the coming days. Users can also check for the update manually by accessing Settings > About phone> Software update menu.

Other Samsung Galaxy models expected to update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean soon include the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2. The Galaxy S4 mini and Samsung Galaxy Mega, will update within a few months, according to Samsung. The GT-I9505 and GT-I9500 Samsung Galaxy S4 international models as well as foreign regional models were among the first to update in mid-October.
