Samsung has been proactive in rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to all applicable Galaxy series of devices, across the globe. However, according to a recent report, the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will be rolled out in June. Notably, the flagship handsets were released two months ago and Samsung has so far rolled out only minor firmware updates. In the meantime, an early build of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop was apparently leaked and Sam Mobile apparently got a chance to play around with the two Samsung Galaxy S6 handsets.

The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge seems to bring in various modes specific to the camera and multiuser support. In addition, the update also comes with several minor changes, such as a neat notifications menu and it provides the option to disable S Finder and Quick Connect buttons beneath the quick-settings toggles.

Furthermore, there is apparently an option to enable a motion effect via the home screen wallpaper of the device. As it turns out, upon enabling the option, the wallpaper will look like it’s flowing out of the handset. Meanwhile, the Themes menu has also gone through an interesting change, such that the UI comes with a purple Themes Store button located at the tail end of the installed themes list. What's more, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop users can reportedly find a new exposure-control feature specific to the camera app. In any case, readers should note that, since this is an early build of the Lollipop OS, the changes mentioned in the video below might change when the final build is ready to be rolled out.

On the other hand, GSM Arena says, the Galaxy S6 models will probably be the first set of Samsung handsets to receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. Right after the release, the 2014 Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet, a device that straddles smarthphone and tablet, will apparently follow suit. Based on another Sam Mobile report, the South Korean tech giant will roll out the Android 5.1.1 update to the Galaxy Note 4 towards the end of July 2015.
