As it turns out, LG apparently will roll out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for its flagship device G2, very soon and update a slew of Samsung Galaxy series devices like the Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy A5.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update For LG G2

A report from Android Pit says the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for LG G2 has been confirmed by an unnamed LG employee from Korea. The update apparently will bring LG’s custom UX 4.0 user interface to the G2. There also will be a slew of software tweaks that are already part of the current-generation flagship LG G4. It is worth noting the LG G2 reportedly skipped the Android 5.1 update to get to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. With the firmware for the G2 with model No. D802 currently under development, the package should be released in the coming months, GSM Arena said.

Update For Samsung Galaxy Note 2, S3

GSM Arena said the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 will not be rolled out in the UK. As it turns out, Samsung Mobile U.K. has updated this information via its official Twitter account. Apart from the U.K., the Gulf regions also will not be receiving the Lollipop update. The Android Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has reportedly been confirmed for roll out in Poland, Denmark and Finland. In general, Samsung has apparently delegated the decision on the firmware updates to the regional branches of individual countries.

Android 5.0.2 Lollipop Update For Samsung Galaxy A5

The Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy A5 tied to model No. SM-A500FU is apparently being rolled out in Russia. This software package has been sent over the air and also via KIES. This downloadable update reportedly weighs 920 MB and the internal designation number is A500FXXU1BOF5. Once the Russian roll out gets completed, the update can be expected in other regions in the upcoming weeks, GSM Arena notes.
