Right after rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Moto G (2014) in India, Motorola is now sending out the same firmware package to the handsets in the U.S., Android Police reported. This update is being rolled out over the air (OTA).

Apart from the Marshmallow goodness, this software package comes with security patches for January. It is being believed that this will be the last Android update for second-generation Motorola Moto G (2014), Phone Arena reported. This is because, by the time Google’s Android N gets released, this device would have crossed the two-year support cycle.

Last week, Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Motorola Droid Turbo 2 also started rolling out in the U.S. to unsuspecting users. Many tech portals pointed out that the roll out could be part of the soak test. Now, Verizon has posted the change list for the upcoming firmware update. This means, the Droid Turbo 2 will receive the Android 6.0 anytime now.

The change list includes Doze, the battery life saver. It is worth noting that the Droid Turbo devices are known to come with big batteries and offer impressive battery life. With Doze on board, the battery life will only get better.

On the other hand, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Moto X Style, also known as Moto X Pure Edition, is already on-going and it is believed to be almost complete. The Moto X 2014 was updated to the latest firmware last December. Being the Google device, Motorola’s Nexus 6 also got updated to Android M.

Towards the end of February, the Motorola Moto E (Second-Gen) also received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in India, GSM Arena reported. Initially, Motorola was not planning to update this entry level handset. However, thanks to the change in plans, this tiny device got updated to the latest firmware.
