Andy Rooney, famous for his show ending essays on 60 Minutes, is in serious condition, according to the Associated Press.

Rooney filmed his final segment for the CBS show earlier this month, though he said he wished he could keep going. Rooney is in the hospital now after developing serious complications following surgery, according to the AP.

He is a three time emmy award winner who's short essays covered a range of subjects, from the personal to the political.

At the request of the 92-year-olds family, no details about his condition are being released, the AP reports.
