Angelina Jolie recently bonded with her children Maddox and Shiloh.

On Saturday, the "Maleficent" star attended the "Bangsokol: A Requiem for Cambodia" at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). The 42-year-old actress was escorted by her two children, Maddox, 16, and Shiloh, 11, People reported.

For the event, Jolie wore a beige trench coat. Her daughter and son donned white shirts and black trousers. Maddox accessorized with a black scarf around his neck.

According to the publication, the show featured the Metropolis Ensemble and the Taipei Philharmonic Chamber Choir. The traditional Khmer vocalists and instruments were also invited to pay tribute to nearly two million victims of the Cambodian genocide.

Jolie has been taking her kids along whenever she attends events these days. On Friday, the "Changeling" star graced the 2017 United Nations Correspondent Association Awards with four of her children: Pax, 14, Knox, 9, Zahara, 12 and Shiloh.

During the awards show, Brad Pitt's ex wore an elegant strapless dress and a pair of black elbow-length gloves. Pax and Zahara went for all-black outfits, while Knox and Shiloh donned black suits and white shirts.

Maddox and Vivienne, 9, were not present because the latter was feeling sick and the former reportedly looked after her. "Vivienne had an upset tummy and big brother Maddox stayed with her," one source said.

During the event, Jolie, a special envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, gave a moving speech. The actress encouraged everyone to see "yourself in the struggles of others" and consider it "their fight for human rights and freedom as your fight."

"However hard it is to live up to the ideals of the UN charter and however distant we are from their realization, we have a responsibility not to break faith, and to hold together when people want to divide us," Jolie added.

In related news, Drake reportedly tried to score a date with Jolie. Last week, the "Hotline Bling" rapper took to Instagram to share a photo of himself sitting alone at a table. Drake reportedly tried to tag Jolie, but ended up tagging a fan account instead.

Meanwhile, Jolie was spotted in New York City on the same day Drake tried to ask her out. The "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" star donned a plush black coat and a pair of towering heels when she met and greeted her fans.
