Hello! magazine's international managing editor, Juliet Herd, recently recalled Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt revealing their daughter Shiloh for the first time as part of Flashback Friday.

In 2006, Pitt and Jolie graced the cover of Hello! magazine, in which they introduced their daughter, Shiloh, to the world. "This was definitely one of HELLO!'s most exciting covers. Two of Hollywood's most glamorous and high-profile A-listers presenting their newborn daughter to the world in a series of remarkably candid and intimate photos," Herd said.

"I remember the thrill of seeing the images for the first time after securing the exclusive rights and they didn't disappoint," Herd continued. "Completely natural, both Brad and Angelina looked as doting – and exhausted – as any new parents as they looked lovingly at tiny Shiloh and introduced her to their other daughter, Zahara, then 15 months. They also had Maddox, then four. It was at a time when the couple were still happy and in love and this radiated from the photos."

According to Herd, Pitt and Jolie's fans were quick to grab copies of the much-awaited issue. In fact, they received invitations to appear on television and radio shows internationally because numerous people had been waiting for the photos.

The "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" stars opted to sell exclusive rights to the intimate family photos and donate the money they got from them to the different charities they supported. Jolie and Pitt are known for their philanthropic and humanitarian deeds.

In fact, next week, Jolie is set to give a keynote address in a Vancouver summit as the special envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and co-founder of the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative. The "Maleficent" star is expected to discuss gender equality in peacekeeping and sexual abuse.

Unfortunately, Pitt and Jolie's relationship and family life have changed drastically since the Hello! magazine cover. The ex-couple split in 2016 and only recently reached an agreement over the custody of their kids after months of feuding. As for their daughter, Shiloh is rumored to be transgender because she feels more comfortable when she is dressed in pants. But regardless of whether or not there is any truth to the rumors, Shiloh's sexual preference is not an issue for her parents.

Pitt told Oprah Winfrey that Shiloh wanted to be called "John or Peter" when she was just 2 years old. Jolie added that their daughter prefers to dress like boys.

"Shiloh, we feel, has Montenegro style," Jolie told Vanity Fair in 2010. "It’s how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes [regular] suits. So it's a suit with a tie and a jacket and slacks, or a tracksuit. She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers."
