Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt caused a fan frenzy at the premiere of Brad's Oscar nominated movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in Japan on Thursday.

Jolie signed autographs for fans and later wrapped her arms around Pitt and posed in photos with Button director David Fincher.

Pitt is up for a Best Leading Actor for his role in the movie, while Jolie -- who already has an Oscar -- has also been nominated for her performance in Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood.

Pitt said he was excited that the couple had been nominated for awards at the same time.

It is nice, we go and support each other -- very cool and rare I think, he told Reuters.

The couple arrived with their six kids in Tokyo on Tuesday.

Japan is the latest Benjamin Button promotional stop for the pair.
