Angelina Jolie has a chance to receive another Golden Globe award.

The 42-year-old actress has received two nominations for the 75th Golden Globe Awards. Jolie's "First They Killed My Father" is nominated in the Best Motion Pictured - Foreign Language category. Meanwhile, her animated flick "The Breadwinner" is in the Best Motion Pictured - Animated slot, Daily Mail reported.

If Jolie wins, the "Maleficent" star will be gracing the stage to give her speeches. Both of Jolie's films have heavy subject matters. In fact, for "First They Killed My Father," Brad Pitt's ex-wife was initially hesitant to direct the Netflix movie.

"In Cambodia, this is a subject matter that has been debated. This history is not known. Internationally, it's not known. It's something that has made me upset when I was in the country. I've seen how it affects the people, and I have a son who deserves to know his history," Jolie told The Hollywood Reporter.

"I want this country to speak, but did I feel I had the right to be the one doing that? It was hard every day to know if I was good enough or the right person to do it," Jolie continued. "I felt so honored to be welcomed into another country and to witness, and bear witness, and encourage, and share, and really put forward their history."

Jolie worked with her sons Maddox and Pax for the said film. Maddox served as the executive producer while Pax was the photographer on the set. The award-winning actress was very proud of them.

"I wanted them to have a strong work ethic, but I was also so proud when I looked over and saw Mad and Pax working with the crew and creating something," Jolie said about her children. "It was a natural process and I think it helped Mad to grow and evolve in a way that I couldn't do for him. His country had to teach him."

Jolie has nothing but praises when it comes to Maddox's work as an executive producer. "I can never rate my own child, but I couldn't have made it without him and I cannot say that about every producer I've worked with," Jolie said.
