Angelina Jolie recently addressed the ongoing issues of sexual scandal in her recent speech at the U.N. Peacekeeping Defense Ministerial Conference in Vancouver on Wednesday.

“Sexual violence is everywhere – in the industry where I work, in business, in universities, in politics, in the military and across the world. All too often, these kinds of crimes against women are laughed off, depicted as a minor offense by someone who cannot control themselves, as an illness, or as some kind of exaggerated sexual need. But a man who mistreats is not oversexed. He is abusive,” she said.

Jolie was one of the actresses who claimed they had a negative experience with film producer, Harvey Weinstein. According to People, Weinstein has been accused of sexual assault and misconduct by approximately 50 women ever since the New York Times article released their shocking article about him last month.

However, Weinstein denied the allegations through his lawyer via a statement released to the same publication. “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weistein,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, Jolie works as a Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. In her inspiring speech, she also challenged the member of the U.N. peacekeepers to crack down on sexual violence. She also said that sexual violence prevents women from enjoying their full human rights.

“It is cheaper than a bullet, and it has lasting consequences that unfold with sickening predictability that make it so cruelly effective,” she concluded.

In other news, while Jolie is preoccupied with the recent U.N. conference, her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, is focused on fully resolving their custody agreement of their six children.

A source told US Weekly, “He’s still determined to have a fully resolved situation for the sake of the whole family.” Pitt is also focused on all his children and their welfare and is not in a relationship with Monaco royalty, Charlotte Casiraghi. But this doesn’t mean the actor has not gone out on a couple of date. He has hung out with a couple of women, but have not seriously dated any one of them.
