Selma Blair has been officially fired from FX's ‘Anger Management,’ the show's producers confirmed, after she complained about co-star Charlie Sheen’s work ethics, TMZ reported on Tuesday.

Sheen personally gave Blair the boot over the weekend, and threatened the show's producers that he will quit if they did not side with his decision, according to the report.

"We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to 'Anger Management' and we wish her the very best,” production company Lionsgate announced in a statement on Tuesday.

The drama began when Blair complained to ‘Anger Management’ executives that Sheen was unprofessional, as he was always late to the sets. But Sheen, who is also an executive producer of the show, found out about the complaint and fired Blair in a profanity-filled text message, Deadline Hollywood reported.

Blair enacted the role of a therapist and colleague to Sheen’s character on the show, and has appeared on 33 episodes in two seasons. Soon after the news of her firing broke out, Blair took to her Twitter account to thank fans for all their love and support.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will now feature a new female lead, as the series has 60 more episodes to produce.

Mila Kunis is said to be the front runner, as Sheen is keen on having her on board, TMZ reported, adding that if the deal works out, she will appear in 10 episodes and is expected to be paid $1 million for each episode.
