We now know what new opportunity radio personality Angie Martinez will be taking after her abrupt resignation from New York City’s Hot 97 on June 18.

Clear Channel said Thursday morning that Martinez would be joining the Power 105.1 team as well as airing on 103.5 The Beat in Miami, Florida, reports Vibe. The company says she will be hosting an afternoon show for the station, a rival to her former employer.

The move comes as the second surprise this week from Martinez, following her unexpected announcement that she’d be leaving her job at Hot 97. Martinez broke the news on-air during her final show on Wednesday. She then took to her Instagram account to offer more details on her decision to the leave the station after 15 years.

The post showed an image of sunshades covered with the saying, “Life has to move forward. Everything has it’s time and everything ends.”

She included the following statement with the photo:

Today I resigned from HOT97. I am grateful to the Emmis family for my time with the company and the immeasurable way that it has shaped my life. We made history together in so many ways and I will cherish those memories and my friendships forever.

This was one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make but ultimately it is time to move on, to grow and to be challenged in new ways. Saying goodbye is always emotional and bitter sweet but I am extremely excited about the future. Thank you HOT97 and most importantly....the listeners... for an unimaginable journey. Today will be my last show ❤ stay tuned.... Love, angie
