Despite the great story that is Ray Lewis and the hundreds of thousands of fans that support his every move, there are some people out there that don’t approve of his recent success.

After shutting down the New England Patriots in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, Anna Burns Welker, the wife of Patriots receiver Wes Welker went on the offensive against the Ravens' Lewis on Facebook.

"Proud of my husband and the Pats. By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!," Burns Welker wrote on Facebook

While it seems that Burns Welker might have been a bit angry that her husband had just lost a huge game, it’s worth pointing out that she was also very inaccurate in her rant.

Lewis, a 13-time Pro-Bowler, did not have four wives, as he has never been married. As for the rest of her statement, Lewis was charged with murder back in 2000 for his involvement in a fight that resulted in two deadly stabbings. The murder charge was dropped as part of a plea deal.

Burns Welker later apologized for the post saying, "I apologize to Ray Lewis and his family for my comments. In no way did I mean for them to be mean or hurtful. I'm embarrassed for being a sore loser. I wish Ray and the Ravens good luck. Lesson learned!"

Wes Welker confirmed in June 2012 that he and Burns had officially married in Aspen, Co.

“Can’t thank my friends and family enough. Great times last night. The sleeves got ripped off early and often. Couldnt have been more perfect,” the Patriots receiver tweeted.

Burns is a former Miss Hooters International but has also done extensive modeling work.
