Anna Paquin has long been a crusader against stereotypes for the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender community. The “True Blood” star, 31, has publicly identified as bisexual since 2010, but there has been some confusion for some people since she married costar Stephen Moyer.

In an acknowledgment of LGBT Pride Month, she tweeted in June, "Proud to be a happily married bisexual mother. Marriage is about love not gender."

The actress elaborated further when she spoke to the Huffington Post. "There's people that are going to probably go to their grave thinking whatever they think about the LGBT community," she said in the interview with HuffPost Live. "That's their problem, not mine. And there's people that think that monogamy and bisexuality are mutually exclusive. Again, their problem not mine."

The actress met her husband on the set of “True Blood,” and after they became engaged in 2009, they married a year later.

Paquin hasn't been afraid to talk openly about her sexuality. In fact, the “X Men” star almost wants to sound repetitive so questions about gender seem monotonous. She ultimately hopes this will better the community.

"The reason I feel like it's important to talk about this stuff is that the more normal and, frankly, mundane and boring this stuff becomes, I think the better it's going to be for everyone who is part of our community," Paquin added.

“True Blood,” which premiered in 2008 on HBO, is in its final season. Paquin recently dyed her hair a blue-purple hue, which could seemingly be the celerbate the end of playing blonde-haired Sookie or to just make her "mermaid" dreams come true. For the record, the colors of the bisexual flag are pink, purple and blue.

The starlet, who is mother to 2-year-old twins Poppy and Charlie, tweeted her new ‘do to her nearly 90,000 followers.
