Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway said she's willing to play Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, on the big screen.

Hathaway is about to play Emma Morley in the film One Day, and her Yorkshire accent has already come under fire from critics, reported AOL.

But Hathaway said she would use the skill to play Middleton.

I haven't really thought about it before but yes, why not, she told The Sun at the One Day premiere at London's Westfield Shopping Center. She's great. It's such a fairytale.

The actress admitted to practicing her Yorkshire accent watching episodes of Emmerdale.

Emmerdale's great. We don't have programs like that in America so it was actually quite exotic for me, Hathaway said at the London premier of her new film, as reported by AOL.

One Day, stars Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. It opened in theaters Aug. 19, and is based on the popular novel of the same name.

On the other hand, Prince William and Kate's romance has twice recreated in made-for-TV-movies. Lifetime's William & Kate aired in April, and Hallmark Channel's William & Catherine: A Royal Romance, premieres on Saturday.

A motion picture hasn't be announced as yet.

Do you think Hathaway had what it takes to portray Kate Middleton on the big screen?
