As if a second round of penis pictures and another sexting scandal wasn’t enough, embattled New York City mayoral candidate Anthony “Carlos Danger” Weiner is now being accused of jokingly calling his female interns “Monica.”

Weiner allegedly made the not-so-subtle reference to former President Bill Clinton intern Monica Lewinsky, whose infamous blue dress led to Clinton’s impeachment, on several occasions, according to NSFW Corp writer and Weiner intern Olivia Nuzzi. It was unclear from Nuzzi’s post if the “Monica” incidents occurred during Weiner’s current campaign or his 2009 bid for mayor.

Nuzzi said she had been interning for Weiner for three weeks when the candidate introduced himself to the interns. The interns told Weiner their names.

"Now I'm going to repeat your names back to you. I'm really good at this," Weiner said, according to Nuzzi.

“Monica?” Weiner asked the first intern, whose actual name is Stephanie. Nuzzi said all of the interns laughed nervously.

“Monica is an interesting intern name to pick out of the air. (Weiner's wife, we should remember, works for Hillary Clinton),” Nuzzi wrote, referring to Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin. Abedin was Hillary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff.

When it was Weiner’s chance to guess Nuzzi’s name, he said, “Monica!”

The candidate and intern later bumped into each other in the hall. “Monica?” Weiner asked. “Still Olivia!” she replied.

Nuzzi wrote the NSFW Corp piece Wednesday night, the day after Weiner addressed the second sexting scandal to plague him in as many years. Weiner admitted to engaging in inappropriate sexual conversations with a 22-year-old Indiana woman and confessed that the exchanges took place after he resigned from Congress for similar behavior.

Weiner resigned from the House in May 2011 after publicly tweeting a photo of his penis to all of his Twitter followers. The photo was meant to be a direct message to a college student whom Weiner was interacting with online.

The former congressman has since tried to make a political comeback and is leading in some polls in the Democratic primary for New York City mayor. However, there have yet to be polls released since the scandal broke earlier in the week.
