Police have arrested a Jewish man for a string of anti-Semitic crimes that have taken place since December, according to The New York Daily News.

Daniel Haddad, 56, is being charged with aggravated harassment as a hate crime after making multiple phone calls in which he made threatening anti-Semitic to several elderly women, including his mother.

Haddad, Jewish though not practicing, was also responsible for spray-painting swastikas on five of the eight doors of the floor of his apartment building in Hell's Kitchen.

Police also believe him to be responsible for spray-painting the words Die Jews and swastikas on a garage door in E. Fifth St. in Midwood.

While a clear motive has not been determined, family members have cited a business dispute as a recent source of friction in Haddad's life.
