Apple updated its 13-inch white MacBook adding additional speed, bigger storage and faster RAM.

The company labeled the new updated machine as MC240 which is now advertised on Apple store.

The white Macbook has now an upgraded processor of 2.3 GHz Core 2 Duo from 2.0GHz, with a hard drive that now holds 160GB from 120GB and a 500GB option. Memory speed also increased to 800MHz from 667MHz.

Additionally, the machine has also meets Energy Star Version 5.0 requirements and is rated EPEAT Gold compared to a previous silver rating of the machine. The Macboook comes with Mac OS X Leopard including iLife ’09 iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, iWeb, and iDVD.

This is now the second time Apple updated its White polycarbonate model. Last time the firm upgraded the model earlier this year adding an improved NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card and upgrading the standard memory from 1GB to 2GB.
