Apple’s upcoming 9.7-Inch iPad Pro is expected to be launched on Mar. 21, alongside the 4.0-inch mini iPhone 5se. Rumors also point to the introduction of either a new model of Apple Watch or some enhancements to the current version.

The upcoming Apple iPad Pro with 9.7-inch display will reportedly be identical to the original 12.9-inch iPad Pro to a great extent with regard to functionality and exterior design. Meanwhile, 9To5Mac has ferreted out the key difference in camera configuration with the help of internal prototypes.

The tablet will apparently sport a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera unit, similar to the sensor mounted in the current-generation iPhone 6s. To top it off, this slate will be able to record 4K videos.

In comparison, the 12.9-inch iPad from 2015 and the iPad Air 2 come with 8-megapixel sensors. When it comes to front-facing shooter, a FaceTime HD camera will apparently be part of the upcoming device.

Speaking of other rumored iPad Pro specifications, the 9.7-inch display clad tablet will reportedly come powered by Apple A9X processor. This slate will support Apple Pencil and it will come packed with quad speakers and a Smart Connector.

Apple is apparently working to optimize the Smart Keyboard cover to go with the new iPad Pro. The display of the new model has been rumored to come with brightness and anti-glare improvements.

Past rumors suggested that this device will come backed by 4 GB of RAM. Color choices will include Silver, Gold and Space Gray. The iPad Air 2 successor is believed to be released as 2 variants namely a Wi-Fi only version with either 32 GB or 128 GB of built-in storage space and a Wi-Fi + Cellular version packed with 128 GB memory configuration.

Price-wise, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro will reportedly be made available within the ambit of $799 and $1079.
