The day has finally arrived.

Apple enthusiasts around the world are buzzing as the Northern California-based tech company unveils their last phone with the iPhone 5 release.

The company doesn't appear to have lost much speed under the leadership of chief executive office Tim Cook. Following the death of Steve Jobs, Cook announced the iPhone 4s in October 2011.

The 1 PM eastern time event will look to answer several questions, as Apple execs take the stage.

Will there be more power in the new casing? Will the screen be larger? What adjustments will be made to Siri? When will the phone hit stores?

Certainly, there will be faster 4G data speeds. The iPhone 4s was an enormous success, as Apple seemed to take a bigger bite out of the highly profitable smart phone industry.
