Unlike the monochrome iPhone designs of the past, the colorful iPhone 5c was designed to embrace the playful nature of Apple’s design proclivities, which are on full display in iOS 7, the redesigned mobile operating system released to the public on Wednesday. The iPhone 5c will see its release date on Friday, but in an effort to advertise both the new iPhone and iPhone OS, Apple released its second iPhone 5c ad on Wednesday called “Designed Together.” On Tuesday, the company released a different iPhone 5c ad, called "Plastic Perfected."

The 55-second ad, which plays to the tune of “1:18” by Lemaitre, shows how iOS 7, the iPhone 5c and the new iPhone’s vibrant cases complement each other in terms of color, texture, and overall design. We’ve embedded the video ad for “Designed Together” below.

The iPhone 5c, which will see its public release date on Friday (the phone is already available to pre-order), either replicates or improves upon the features in its predecessor, the iPhone 5. Apple has replaced the all-aluminum unibody enclosure of the iPhone 5 with a reinforced polycarbonate solution, and the iPhone 5c will also release in five colors instead of the typical black and white options -- blue, green, yellow, pink and white.

Inside the shell of iPhone 5C, most of the specs are identical to those in the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5c will release with the same A6 chip, the same 4-inch Retina display, and the same 8-megapixel camera with 2.4 aperture and single LED flash. Apple has improved a few features in the iPhone 5c, including the front-facing FaceTime camera and the phone's battery, and the iPhone 5c also supports 13 LTE bands, which is more than any other current smartphone (besides its cousin, the iPhone 5S). The iPhone 5c will come pre-loaded with iOS 7, which saw its release date on Wednesday.

What do you think of the iPhone 5c? Does Apple do a good job with its “Plastic Perfected” ad, or are you not convinced? Sound off in the comments section below.
