New images of what could possibly be the iPhone 6 chassis emerged Sunday, giving Apple fans a glimpse at the most likely design for the next Apple smartphone.

The pictures show a rear shell with the familiar Apple cutout and camera holes, but otherwise the design is completely different from previous models. If these leaked photos are real, the iPhone 6 will be much thinner and have rounded edges, similar to the original iPhone that launched in 2007. The left side of the phone has the normal volume up and down buttons, which have become elongated rather than small and round like the iPhone 5, and the hold toggle.

The photos also show a new location for the sleep/wake button, which has been moved from the top of the phone to the right-hand side. This has been done most likely because of the purported size of the iPhone 6.

The new leaked pictures come just weeks after a previous image of a very similar iPhone 6 shell was leaked in late May. The last iPhone 6 photo still had the green plastic protective film on it but had a similar design.

The iPhone 6 is expected to come in two different sizes, a 4.7-inch model launching this fall and a 5.5-inch model that will launch sometime in the winter or next year. The 4.7-inch model is rumored to be announced in September, possibly alongside the iWatch, Apple’s first wearable device.

As with all leaked photos, it is hard to determine the authenticity of the pictured device. However, the images are very high quality for a leaked image and show a lot of detail, which gives weight to the possibility that these pictures are real. Ultimately, we will just have to wait until September to find out.
