Many “MacBook Pro” units have been discounted in the past amid rumors about the existence of 2016 Macbook versions. But now, the 13.3-inch “MacBook Air” has been discounted by $170, fueling another round of rumors.

The 13.3-inch MacBook Air 2015 with 128GB built-in storage space and 8GB of RAM can now be purchased for just $829.99 on eBay. Apple, on the other hand, has listed the same device for $999 in its official website.

Upon ordering the notebook, eBay will offer 1-year manufacturer warranty and free shipping service. The seller of this discounted 13.3-inch MacBook Air is the well-known “Electronics Valley.” So far, 125 units of this discounted notebook have been sold. The MPN number associated with this model is “MMGF2LL/A.”

As far as the key specifications go, the 13.3-inch LED-backlit display comes bundled with 1,440 x 900 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by a dual-core (Intel Core i5) processor, running at 1.6GHz. The graphics on the device is handled by Intel’s HD Graphics 6000.

Speaking of software, Mac OS X 10.10 or 10.11 runs the 13.3-inch MacBook Air 2015 out of the box. This model supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt 2 ports.

Apple has housed a 54 watt-hour lithium-polymer battery unit in the device, which is capable of giving up to 12 hours of wireless web browsing and 30 days of stand-by time. There is also a standard 720p FaceTime HD camera onboard.

Design-wise, the MacBook Air 2015’s exterior flaunts a glossy finish and it weighs 2.96 pounds. This device comes equipped with stereo speakers, dual microphones and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is a full-size backlit keyboard, along with multi-Touch trackpad for precise cursor control.
