Japanese blog Mac Otakara shares a new set of details about the upcoming iPhone 12. Based on the leaked details, it appears that Apple is bringing back a smaller display size in one of the models under the iPhone 12 branding. Apple might release a 5.4-inch iPhone 12, making it the most compact model since iPhone SE and iPhone 8,

In terms of overall size, the 5.4-inch would be a lot smaller than the iPhone SE and iPhone 8, according to Mac Otakara citing supply chain sources. Additionally, as for its height, nothing is specific yet. But, according to Business Insider, the height of the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 would fall between that of the iPhone 8 and iPhone SE.

As for its camera setup, the compact iPhone 12 would feature a couple of cameras similar to the iPhone 11. Aside from the display sizes, earlier reports claimed that the iPhone 12 series would feature improved augmented reality functionality. It could be due to Apple integrating 3D cameras on some iPhone 12 models.

Moreover, 2020 iPhone models might feature OLED screens and 5G networks, according to earlier rumors. A few days ago, Digitimes, a Taiwanese publication, reveals that it is the main supplier of the A14 Bionic chips for Apple. The A14 Bionic chip is the rumored processor that Apple will use on the iPhone 12.

Based on these details, it seems that the iPhone 12 series is shaping to be one of the most powerful smartphones releasing in 2020. The latest information from Mac Otakara seems to align with the earlier report shared by reputable Apple tipster and TFI Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Given the specs, it looks like Apple is pushing for its pricing strategy that started with the iPhone X series.
