Big discounts were offered to tech enthusiasts during the much-anticipated Presidents’ Day holiday weekend. Those waiting for this event were not let down as big discounts for gadgets like smartwatches, smartphones, and laptops were offered from Friday to Monday.

For tech shoppers, this was one of the best times to scout for hardware upgrades as most shops are looking for ways to clean out their shelves in preparation for the coming new models. Among those with big discounts were laptops.

Apple, for one, presented great deals on some MacBook models this past weekend.

According to Apple Insider, Mac computers were up for grabs starting at $749, while discounts went as high as $700. Great freebies were also given away for Apple product buyers. Those who bought a 2017 12.9-inch iPad Pro also got JBL Headphones worth $150 -- for free!

For those who scouted at Best Buy, the store offered a 15-inch MacBook Pro model with Touchbar for $2,400. That’s $400 off the regular retail price of $2,800. Specs of this computer include an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of memory and the AMD Radeon Pro 560X.

The 2018 13" MacBook Air (1.6GHz, 8GB, 128GB) in multiple colors were also on bargain at $1,049.99 from $1199.99, while the 2018 15" MacBook Pro (2.9GHz, 32GB, 512GB, Radeon 560X) in Space Gray was offered at $400 off from its original price.

People didn't just focus on the laptops. Apple iPhones (from iPhone 6 to iPhone 7), were also sold at really low prices (from $164.99 for the 32GB iPhone 6 to $234.99 for the iPhone 7).

Amazon, on the other hand, gave some great deals for the Apple Watch Series 3 during Presidents' Day. According to Digital Trends, the Series 3 was for sale at less than $250 or had a $50 discount at the online shopping portal.

Apple wasn't the only brand that offered some great deals last Presidents’ Day weekend. HP, Lenovo, and Alienware also had some fantastic deals to offer and gave tech junkies a chance to get their hands on some really good hardware.
