Apple on Monday announced that it will open a retail store in Grand Central Station at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Apple placed a note on its Web site about the opening and it is being reported that customers were sent an e-mail notifying them of the same.

Apple Store, Grand Central. Arriving Friday, December 9, at 10 a.m., the notice on the Apple Web site read.

After that, store hours will be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the weekdays; between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturdaya and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

According to PCMag.com, the new retail Apple store will be located at 45 Grand Central Terminal, housed on the east balcony of the main terminal. The space was previously home to the Metrazur restaurant, PCMag.com reported.

It was previously rumored that the store would open in time for Black Friday.
