We're all waiting for the official announcement of iPhone 5. AllThingsD reported Apple will hold a big media event on October 4 to unveil the new iPhone.
Tuesday, Oct. 4.
That's the day Apple is currently expected to hold its next big media event, according to sources close to the situation, where the tech giant will unveil the next iteration of its popular iPhone.
With Steve Jobs stepped down, his successor Tim Cook will take over the stage and announce the next generation iPhone.
So, like his predecessor, and as Jobs's right-hand man and chosen successor, Cook is expected to be the main presenter at all big Apple media events going forward.
That said, according to sources, he's sure to have help from Apple lieutenants, such as marketing head Schiller, iOS chief Scott Forstall and Eddy Cue, recently named SVP of Internet Software and Services.
The iPhone 5 is expected to come with faster processor, 8-megapixel camera and slimmer design. Some also speculated it'll come with larger screen size and a complete redesign.
Until now Apple doesn't make any official announcement for the launch date of iPhone 5. AllThingsD said the information comes from sources close to the situation. Added that, Jim Dalrymple for The Loop also confirmed the date of the media event. So it's very likely you'll see the new iPhone next Tuesday.
