The Apple Watch may not hit store shelves until sometime in early 2015, but it’s already making a splash on the streets of Paris. Apple and Parisian fashion boutique Colette teamed up to show off the Apple Watch on Tuesday at the boutique’s gallery on Rue Saint-Honoré during Paris Fashion Week.

This is the first time Apple has publicly displayed the Apple Watch following its unveiling in Cupertino, California, on Sept. 9. The event, which was teased as a “one day experience” on Monday, attracted long lines to Colette’s gallery before its opening at 11 a.m. CEST.

The boutique displayed the 38mm and 42mm models of the Apple Watch, according to Engadget. While the display mostly featured models from the Apple Watch Sport Collection, Apple had some models from its Apple Watch Collection and Apple Watch Edition Collection on hand as well, MacGeneration reported.

Visitors to the Colette store were only allowed to look at the Apple Watch, though some journalists were given an opportunity to try on the devices. Some of Apple’s design team was also present at the event, including Apple senior vice president of design, Jony Ive, and Apple designer, Marc Newson.

While Apple is positioning the Apple Watch as a new device in its product lineup, the company has made efforts to push it as a fashion accessory as well. Battery life of the Apple Watch is currently unknown, though Apple is aiming for an early 2015 launch. Prices of the Apple Watch will start at $349.
