Zayn Malik’s fans are upset with Perrie Edwards again. This time the anger came after a Twitter video sparked concern that the pair had snuck off to tie the knot in secret.

In the video, which appeared on Twitter June 11, the ladies of the girl group Little Mix are seen introducing themselves using the last names of their significant others. Although many Malik fans feared the worst, a rep for the band assured E! News it was all in good fun saying the three spoken for ladies were simply poking fun at Jade Thirlwall, who is the only single member.

“The three girls in the group with boyfriends say their first name and their boyfriend’s last name and Jade says ‘I’m Jade’ with no last name because she doesn’t have a boyfriend,” their rep explained. “They were teasing her. Nothing more.”

Malik and Edwards have been engaged since August 2013. They began dating in 2011 after meeting during Season 8 of “X Factor UK.” Little Mix won that season and Edwards won Malik’s heart. They have not yet announced when they plan to get married. In an interview with The Sun conducted in late May Edwards told the publication she was still unsure when they would walk down the aisle, though she assured readers they were busy planning. Unfortunately, Edwards said, the couple's hectic schedules were getting in the way.

While Perrie and her bandmates are busy promoting their latest single, “Black Magic,” Malik has been in the studio with British producer Naughty Boy penning his first solo project. Just days after leaving One Direction in March, Naughty Boy released a teaser of a love song the two had been working on much to the dismay of heartbroken One Direction fans.

Neither Edwards nor Malik have responded to the video posted by Little Mix.
