It’s Ariana Grande and Seth MacFarlane’s turn to bring the fun to “Carpool Karaoke.”

Arianators everywhere know that Grande is a big fan of musicals, performing in Broadway’s “13” in 2008 and singing show tunes constantly on her Snapchat. Now, she’s able to bring her love of show tunes to “Carpool Karaoke,” where she’s joined by MacFarlane, who’s also know to be a musical lover.

Before the Tuesday night premiere of their episode of the new Apple Music series, a clip was released on the show’s social media page earlier in the day to give fans a glimpse of what they can expect. Songs from musicals, for one. In the two-and-a-half-minute video, Grande and MacFarlane belt out “Suddenly, Seymour” from the Little Shop of Horrors musical. But the duo isn’t alone with just each other in the car. They’re accompanied by a plant in the back seat, and not just any plant, but the Little Shop of Horrors plant.

And, yes, the plant tries to eat them towards the end.

But before then, the two singers show off their singing chops and prove just why they were chosen as a pair. Their voices are perfectly suited for each other and for singing this song. This clip was more than enough to get everyone even more excited to watch the full episode. Perhaps they’ll sing more show tunes, perhaps some Grande tracks, and perhaps some MacFarlane-penned songs. The answer, in the form of the episode, is almost here.

While the duet’s just been released, it was actually filmed a while back. Clearly, Grande has been busy with her tour, which is why it makes sense that she shot this episode of “Carpool Karaoke” almost a year ago, according to her Instagram post.

Since then, Grande has been performing her “Dangerous Woman” tour all over the world, including the very special “One Love Manchester” benefit concert in June to raise money for the victims of the bombing attack at Grande’s Manchester concert in May. Many other celebrities joined in on the event – like Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Niall Horan – to make it as successful as possible. The “Into You” singer continued on her tour following the event and is currently finishing it up.

The star has been counting down the final shows on Instagram. On Tuesday, she posted a video of her onstage at one of her concerts and wrote that she had only “thirteen more” stops to go.

She also celebrated, via an Instagram post on Aug. 15, a huge milestone with Nicki Minaj. The pair’s track “Side to Side” went three-times platinum and they were both extremely excited about the news.

Minaj was also quick to tweet out that her other song with Grande, “Bang Bang,” has gone platinum many times over and that she loves and misses her. At least she’ll have Grande’s new “Carpool Karaoke” video to watch to hold her over until the two can see each other in person again.

Plus, she’ll get the added benefit of hearing MacFarlane sing, which is always a good thing. He’s also been busy since filming this episode, as his new series “The Orville,” which he created and is starring in, is set to premiere Sept. 10 on Fox.
