Following the announcement of the 2017 Grammy Award nominees, many stars reacted to the honor of being nominated for the prestigious reward. One star who had an emotional response to their nominations was Ariana Grande.

After the announcement, Grande tweeted to fans about her excitement over her accomplishment. “Crying. what an absolute blessing to be recognized for dangerous woman this way thank you for the nominations @RecordingAcad,” she wrote. The songstress went on to tell supporters she was both “moved and honored.”

The singer was nominated in the category of best pop solo performance for her song “Dangerous Woman.” In the category, Grande is up against “Love Yourself” by Justin Bieber, “Hello” by Adele, “Hold Up” by Beyoncé and “Piece By Piece (Idol Version)” by Kelly Clarkson.

She also received a nomination for best pop vocal album for “Dangerous Woman” where she will once again face off against pal Justin Bieber’s “Purpose,” Adele’s “25,” Demi Lovato’s “Confident” and Sia’s “This is Acting.”

“AND to be nominated alongside so many artists (and friends) i love and albums i am such a fan of thank you for the nominations,” Grande wrote on Instagram.

Not only is the pop star celebrating her Grammy nomination, but her song “Side by Side” with Nicki Minaj reached number one on U.S. pop radio. The emotional singer thanked fans and the rapper on Instagram. “Thank you so much for supporting this record / whole album. thank you for your LOVE.... i'm forreal crying. what a day,” she wrote. She went on to thank Minaj who she called her “friend for life” and shared several heart emojis.

This is not Grande’s first time being nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2015 her album “My Everything” was nominated for best pop vocal album. She also snagged a nomination for best pop duo/group performance alongside Nicki Minaj and Jessie J for their song “Bang Bang.”
