Ark: Survival Evolved update 1.14 just released on PS4, and a corresponding Xbox One patch is coming soon. Taking a look at the official changelog, here’s what players can expect.

Everything in PC update v255.5 including:

  • New Dino: Electrophorus - A carnivorous eel that can be tamed to subdue large aquatic creatures
  • New Dino: Microraptor - A small non-avian Carnivore used to take down riders
  • New Dino: Ammonite - Can be harvested in oceans for its shell and bile, but it’s defended by other ocean dwellers
  • New Dino: Thylacoleo - A powerful carnivore that’s rideable and can be used to climb trees. Its abilities make it suitable for ambushes.
  • New Structure: Tek Forcefield
  • New Structures: Tek Tileset & Tek Doors
  • New additional head hairstyle and additional facial hairstyle
  • 30 new Explorer Notes

With a few console-specific perks:

  • Optimised Task Graph threading & RHI systems (latest Unreal) resulting in approximate 15 percent performance gain (maximise GPU-usage time)
  • Numerous fixes made to TEK Equipment in regular play and split-screen mode
  • Greenhouse Structures are better optimized
  • Major upgrade to Xbox XDK API. Will result in performance gains, as well as better memory utilisation and memory available. Possibly resolving some networking issues too. [Xbox One only]

Due to the Xbox One XDK adjustments listed above, the size of the incoming update is expected to be an uncommonly large 20GB. By comparison, PS4 update 1.14 is just 3.2GB. The Microsoft update is currently in certification, so it should be live in a matter of hours.
