Megan (Christine Evangelista) is doing a play after she was replaced by a more prominent actress in Kyle’s (Josh Henderson) upcoming movie in the next episode of “The Arrangement.”

In a sneak peek of next week’s Season 1, episode 4, Megan tells her agent, Leslie (Autumn Reeser), about her decision to star in a play.

“It’s literally the only decent thing I’ve read,” Megan says of the play’s script.

Despite Megan’s enthusiasm to take the project, Leslie isn’t totally convinced that it’s the best move for Megan’s career after being let go from a big budget film.

“Everyone is still waiting to see how are you gonna handle this [hurdle],” Leslie tells Megan. “So you can make the smart unflappable choice like the recurring role in ‘NCIS: New Orleans’ or you can … do a play.”

While the recurring role in “NCIS: New Orleans” seems to be a safer choice, Megan sticks to her choice. “When I signed the [10 million] contract with [Kyle] you told me that I would have the money and the freedom to do whatever I wanted,” the actress says. “You said that … whatever I wanted.”

Although Leslie tells Megan that she will “literally” be “the butt of jokes” if she does a play after being dumped from a Kyle West movie, Megan doesn’t change her mind.

In Season 1, episode 3, Megan found that Amelia Briggs replaced her in Kyle’s movie, “The Kill Plan.” Surprisingly, Kyle supported that recasting. “It’s about protecting you,” Kyle tells of his reason for supporting the studio’s decision. “Throwing you into a giant franchise right out the gate, it’s not in your best interest. You get one chance to prove yourself and I don’t want everyone thinking you’re only in the movie because of me. That will be the narrative.”

As Megan struggles to figure out the next step in her career, Kyle — according to the synopsis for the episode — attempts to reconnect with her on an unpredictable double date with a superstar pro athlete and his outspoken wife.

“The Arrangement” Season 1, episode 4, titled “Crashing,” airs on Sunday, at 10 p.m. on E!
