Oliver Queen is getting his sleeves back. New photos from “Arrow” Season 5 show off the fresh suit the Green Arrow will be wearing, and it looks a lot like his old ones. However, that might be blamed on “The Flash” Season 3.

Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver, posted one of the photos from the premiere on his Twitter. Fans caught a glimpse of the new suit when the CW revealed the Season 5 trailer at San Diego Comic-Con, but this gives a much clearer look.

Amell previously told Entertainment Tonight that he loves putting on the Green Arrow suit to get into character. “You feel powerful, you feel in charge,” he said in 2015. “Your voice deepens, and you see this with everybody, there’s a stance. There’s a way that you carry yourself in this superhero costume that really can’t totally be explained until you’ve put one on.”

There’s nothing really crazy different about the new suit. It’s green, leather and seems to be similar to his suits from the first few seasons. However, there is one big change from last year’s costume: sleeves. This might seem unimportant. After all, the show films in Vancouver, Canada, during the winter and at night. Perhaps Amell just wanted warm arms — or it might be a Flashpoint side effect.

“The Flash” Season 3 will kick off in an alternate timeline Barry (Grant Gustin) created when he went back in time to save his mother’s life. This timeline is called Flashpoint, and it will effect the other shows in the DC/CW universe, including “Arrow” Season 5.

As previously reported, “Arrow” showrunner Wendy Mericle vaguely alluded to the impact that Flashpoint would have on Team Arrow. “Flashpoint provides an interesting jumping off point for all the shows this year, in that we have this reset button available to us if we want it,” Mericle told IGN. “We’ve landed on a few things, but the door is open. That’s the fun part. You can play with it in whatever way, shape, or form you want to. I think it will be small in some ways, and big in others.”

Is this new costume one of the smaller effects of Flashpoint? Cisco (Carlos Valdes) designed the outfit that showed off Oliver’s biceps, but “The Flash” Season 3 trailers have revealed that Cisco has changed. He’s a massively successful businessman, so he might not be making superhero suits in this new world.

“Arrow” Season 5 premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
