Like many celebs, “Arrow” star Stephen Amell headed to Coachella last weekend. However, Amell wasn’t going for the music or the Instagram-worthy photo ops. The actor wanted to share something his wife loves.

Amell, who married actress Cassandra Jean in 2012, revealed on Instagram that he has spent years teasing his wife about her love for the annual music festival in Indigo, California. In fact, he even claims he hated the event until 2016.

“Then last year during Coachella, something felt different,” Amell explained. “She was at our house, with our friends, doing something she loves... without me. That’s not how a marriage / friendship / partnership should work. If your Wife (or whatever) loves something, you should love it too.”

It seems the Green Arrow actor had a great time at the Coachella Weekend One, which featured Radiohead, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar. He’s even looking forward to going back next year with Jean. “We did everything she wanted to do and I got to share an experience that brought us closer together because doing something your partner loves always helps you understand them better,” he wrote.

Amell’s wife, with whom he shares 3-year-old daughter Mavi, got straight to the point with her post-Coachella message. Along with a photo of her and her husband holding hands, Jean wrote: “Desert romance. Ride or die into the sunset with this one any and every day.”

Hopefully, Amell enjoyed the relaxation since it doesn’t look like his summer will involve much rest. After he wraps the “Arrow” Season 5 finale on The CW, he’ll have to start preparing for the celebrity edition of “American Ninja Warrior.”

As part of NBC’s Red Nose Day programming, Amell will compete with other celebs like Derek Hough, Mena Suvari, Erika Christensen and more to win money for charity. Amell will be paired with “elite ninja” Kacy Catanzaro, who will coach him through the obstacle course.

“Celebrity Ninja Warrior for Red Nose Day” airs Thursday, May 25 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
