In the midst of one of their most disappointing seasons, Arsenal have addressed the club's uninspired play with a plethora of moves in the winter transfer window. In sixth place with 13 games remaining, the club was in need of some new blood.

Here's a breakdown of all the moves Arsene Wenger made before the Jan. 31 deadline.

Who Is In?

Swap Deal: Henrikh Mkhitaryan For Alexis Sanchez

The writing had been on the wall for quite some time that Sanchez wanted out of the Emirates. The question was whether Arsenal could either convince him to stay or get something in return before the winter deadline. Few would have expected Sanchez would end up at Old Trafford and that Manchester United would send out-of-favor Mkhitaryan. Sanchez is set to make a whopping £500,000 a week, instead of the £300,000 per week Arsenal were offering. Mkhitaryan will be receiving £180,000 per week, so the club was spared a great deal in payroll.

While it's difficult to replace Sanchez, the versatile Mkhitaryan should fit nicely in Wenger's system.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Like Mkhitaryan, Arsenal were able to land a talented attacker who honed their skills at Borussia Dortmund. The 28-year-old joins Arsenal for a club-record fee of £56 million, but they were able to land a player who is in his prime and should easily adjust to the Premier League. The Gabon international, who signed a long-term contract, can flat out score, with 141 goals in 213 appearances for the Bundesliga club. He hasn't shown any dip in form, either, with 21 goals in 24 appearances.

The big question is this: how will Aubameyang play with Alexandre Lacazette?

Who Is Out?

Francis Coquelin

After the addition of so many defensive-minded midfielders, the once-promising Coquelin grew expendable before his exit on Jan. 11. He also was prone to injury, which made him seem to fit right in at Arsenal.

Valencia gave Arsenal £12 million for the 26-year-old, which is probably a bargain. But the move frees up opportunities for other Arsenal players, like playing Mohamed Elneny a bit more. Arsenal and Valencia may have talked about Coquelin over the summer when the two clubs reached a £10 million agreement on central defender Gabriel.

Theo Walcott

After a dozen years with Arsenal, the two sides parted ways on Jan. 17 when Everton offered £20 million. Walcott, 28, seemed to get lost in the shuffle at Arsenal, and after several injuries, he did not seem to have much of a future with the club.

Combined with the fee Arsenal received from Coquelin, it seems as though Arsenal found some of the resources to land Aubameyang by jettisoning two players who were barely on the roster.

Olivier Giroud

Easily the most contentious move by Arsenal, the club parted ways on deadline day with a 31-year-old striker who had a unique skill set and sent him to local rival Chelsea. Arsenal received £18 million, after paying Montepellier £12 million for Giroud in 2012, which means Arsenal once again found a way to turn a profit on an aging player.

While Giroud had his share of detractors, many appreciated how the 6-foot-4 Frenchman was strong in the air and took full advantage of his opportunities, having scored 105 goals in 253 appearances.

Mathieu Debuchy

A former starting wingback, Debuchy turned out to be a bust. He moved on to Saint-Etienne on a free transfer on deadline day.
