Speculation continues to surround Arsenal in the midst of the January transfer period.

Manager Arsene Wenger is missing winger Gervinho due to the African Nations Cup, but is in need of full backs due to a rash or injuries.

The Daily Mirror reported that the Gunners are interested in Lyon's Aly Cissokho. The 24-year-old left back is expected to be loaned in January, and then make a permanent move in the summer.

I will talk with the technical staff this week. Since the last transfer market there have been a lot of rumours, but I haven't taken any notice, Cissokho told L'Equipe last week. There is nothing concrete so far.

There have been few recent reports of Manchester City's Wayne Bridge joining Arsenal on loan. The chances of Bridge arriving at Emirates always seemed to be a long shot considering the veteran's £90,000-a-week salary.

According to Metro, Arsenal have joined the running for VVV Venlow's Ahmed Musa. The 19-year-old winger is also an Everton target, along with several other European clubs.

Perhaps the most intriguing Arsenal target remains Lukas Podolksi. The Gunners plan on making an £8 million bid for the Koln striker, according to Daily Mail. There have been reports that Podolski could have a valuation of over £15 million.
