As Arsenal's deal for Yann M'Vila appears increasingly doubtful as negotiations drag on, Gunners defender Bacary Sagna has urged the club to sign his fellow Frenchman.

Once thought to be on the verge of a £17 million move to the Emirates, M'Vila's club Rennes will now wait until after Euro 2012 before agreeing any deal. But Sagna, who will miss this summer's tournament with a broken leg suffered against Norwich earlier this month, said that the defensive midfielder could be a key addition.

M'Vila can make a great impact, he said, according to the Mirror. I'm not sure about his English but it took me time to learn. But I think he would suit us as well. Arsenal is a French-speaking team and it will help him settle.

Arsenal is also thought to be interested in another Frenchman in Olivier Giroud. But negotiations on a possible deal also likely to extend until after the Euros, Arsenal could be casting a wider net to find a new striker.

According to the Daily Mail, that search includes CSKA Moscow's Seydou Doumbia. The Ivory Coast international hit 26 goals in the Russian Premier League last season and registered a further five in the Champions League.

Doumbia is reportedly valued at £26 million. by CSKA; and asking price that will likely have to lower considerably if Wenger is to register serious interest. But with Chelsea also said to be interested, the Gunners may have to fade out before a bidding war ensues.

There has also been a host of speculation about Arsenal's apparent hunt for an attacking midfielder. French international Marvin Martin has long been linked with the Gunners and the 24-year-old has claimed that he may be ready for a move away from Sochaux.

I'm ready to go play overseas, but I have not made a decision about my future, Martin said, according to the Daily Mail.

I know there has been contact but I'm 100 per cent focused on France and the Euros.

Another creative player with the potential to impress at the European Championships, Yevhen Konoplyanka, could also be on Arsenal's radar. TalkSport claims the Ukrainian, 22, is also interesting Manchester United and Chelsea.

If the Gunners have a serious interest in either Martin or Dnipro's Konoplyanka they would be wise to act quickly before Euro 2012, given the club's propensity to be out-muscled when the biggest clubs arrive at the negotiating table.

Boss Arsene Wenger could always turn his attentions instead to Tunisian midfielder Youssef Msakni. The 22-year-old came to prominence with a quick-footed dribble and finish in his country's opening match of this year's African Cup of Nations. According to TalkSport, Msakni could be available for as little as £2 million from Esperance Tunis. However, reports in his homeland now claim that Udinese currently sit atop the queue for his signature.

There is likely to be some names making way this summer as Wenger looks to restructure his squad. One man on that list is defender Johan Djourou, who has admitted he could be tempted to move on in search of more regular first-team action.

If an interesting offer comes in for me, I will look at it carefully, he said, according to the Mail.

Djourou is reportedly a target for Serie A winners Juventus.
