Arsenal haven't been as active in the transfer window so far this season. Having signed only 19-year-old Carl Jenkinsson from championship side Charlton Athletic, manager Arsene Wenger hasn't exactly met the demands for a revolution. However, it isn't for the want of trying.

Elsewhere, the Daily Mail reports that Ipswich striker Connor Wickham, who is linked with Arsenal, will cost £12million with Sunderland, Liverpool and Tottenham also interested in the England U-21 international. In what could be a welcome news for some sections of Arsenal fans, the Times has reported that Borussia Dortmund are on the brink of making a formal bid for Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner though their bid is believed to fall short of Arsenal's valuation of £12m.
