A few days ago Universal announced that a number of artists donated their songs for used on a new compilation to be released in aid of the Japan Red Cross following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit earlier this month.

U2, Rihanna, Bon Jovi and Justin Bieber are amongst the artists who contributed songs.

We are doing it only digitally because it is faster. [It will be] a worldwide release.

The album features 38 songs from some of the hottest musicians today and some legends. The album kicks off with John Lennon's Imagine and is followed by Bob Dylan's Shelter from the Storm, as well as Bruce Springsteen's Human Touch.
