Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd, the 100 per cent subsidiary of Nissan Motors Japan, has increased the price of its largest selling flagship hatchback - the Micra.

The hike will be applicable to both petrol and diesel versions and will be between 2,500 and 11,170 rupees respectively.

"There has been a steady increase in the input cost over a period. It has come to a situation now that the price hike is inevitable and we have decided to increase the price of Micra," a release quoted Kiminobu Tokuyama, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Nissan Motor India, as saying.
