Days of severe weather, storms and tornadoes flatten homes in North Carolina suburbs before making way through St Louis International Airport leaving behind massive devastation.

North Carolina, which was hit by a destructive tornado two years earlier, was the worst hit by the recent tornadoes that brought down the southern United States over the last few days. According to weather and emergency officials, hundreds of homes were damaged or destroyed in North Carolina alone.

A violent tornado touched down on the St Louis International Airport on Friday, April 22. The Good Friday tornado has been rated an EF-4 by National Weather Service. The greatest damage of the tornadoes, of which one was being tracked since a long time and was violent, occurring in the communities of Maryland Heights, Bridgeton, St. Ann, Edmundson, Lambert St. Louis International Airport, Berkeley, and Ferguson in St. Louis County and in Madison County near Granite City.

While the death toll has been put up at at least 43, there were no deaths reported in St Louis tornado. The airport, which was battered by the tornado, is slated to re-open SUunday.

As the tornado-hit regions struggle to get back up on the feet again, Texas to Ohio now brace for storms and severe weather. Latest reports suggest that three tornadoes have been confirmed in Northern Kentucky while strong winds and a tornado have been confirmed in one Versailles neighborhood.
