Prince William and Kate Middleton are officially a married couple.
In a beautiful ceremony in Westminster Abbey among world leaders and close friends, the couple exchanged vows.

Kate Middleton's dress was the Royal Wedding's best kept secret. As has been speculated before, Middleton's dress was by the head designer of Alexander McQueen, Sarah Burton.
Burton took over as creative director of Alexander McQueen after his tragic suicide. Burton has worked with McQueen for 14 years and has previously designed dresses for Michelle Obama, Cate Blanchett, Lady Gaga, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sara Buys.
Burton's work caught Middleton's eye when she designed an off-the-shoulder wedding dress for Sarah Buys, a fashion journalist who married Tom Parker Bowles, the son of the Duchess of Cornwall in 2005.

Kate Middleton also chose to wear the Cartier "halo" tiara, which was made in 1936 and given to the Queen as an 18th birthday present. It is unclear whether the tiara was borrowed or if the Queen gave it to Middleton as a gift.
Middleton's earrings, which were custom made to match the tiara, were a present from the bride's parents.
After the ceremony, the couple made their way to Buckingham Palace where they shared the much-anticipated kiss.
Following the ceremony, there will be two receptions in Buckingham Palace. The first one will be hosted by the Queen.
